Outcome / Benefit of the Programme	The event enthused the attendees to engage in the practice of reading.

                                           PROGRAMME REPORT

 

The program was inaugurated by Prof.M.K.Narayanan Nambootiri,North Zone Secretary,Sree Sankara Trust.The Keynote address was delivered by Prof. M Krishnan Nambootiri,renowned Environmentalist and former Head of the Department of Malyalam,Sreekrishnapuram V T Bhattathiripad College. The function was presided over by Dr.Bindu,T (Principal). Smt.Mini K Department.of Malayalam),Smt.Subha IN(NSS Programme Officer), Dr.Sandeep Narayan (IQAC Coordinator), Dr.Sadeep K (Department of Physical Education), Smt.Dhanya M (Librarian & Literary Club Coordinator) spoke at the function. The competitions, which included events such as Poetry Recitation, Essay Writing Competition and Photography competition were conducted over a period of four days. Student participation in the programs was overwhelming. A valedictory function was held after the completion of all the competitions and prizes were distributed to the winners.

ബാധ്യതകളില്ലാത്തിരുമ്പ് വളയകൊണ്ട് ബന്ധനസ്ഥയാക്കാനും

 

അവൾക്കിന്നൊരു മുഴു ഭ്രാന്തിയാവണമത്രേ...

 

മുന്നോട്ടുള്ളതോർത്തു വ്യാകുലപ്പെടാതിരിക്കാൻ

 

നേർക്കുവരുന്ന കൂരമ്പുകൾക്കുത്തരം നൽകാതിരിക്കാൻ

പ്രതിരോധിക്കാനായിക്കെട്ടിയ വലയിൽ വീണതാരോ അതാണിരയെന്ന് ചുമരിലെ ചിലന്തി 

വിശന്നിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ മുന്നിൽ കാണുന്ന പാറ്റയുടെ ജീവിനെയോർത്ത് വിലപിക്കാൻ നേരമില്ലെന്ന് ക്ലോക്കിന്റെ മണ്ടയ്ലിരിക്കുന്ന പല്ലി

ജീവനെടുക്കുമെന്നറിയാതെയായിരുന്നു ചൂണ്ടക്കൊളുത്തിലെ ഇരയെക്കൊത്തിയതെന്ന് ചട്ടിയിൽ ചൂടാവുന്ന മീൻ 

ഏറ് കിട്ടുമെന്നറിഞ്ഞിട്ടും മീൻ കലത്തിലേക്ക് പറന്നെത്തിയത് വയറിന്റെ പ്രാണനാദം കേട്ടിട്ടെന്ന് കാക്ക 

ആട്ടിയോടിച്ചാലും വീണ്ടും കട്ടു തിന്നാൻ അടുക്കളയിൽ കയറുമെന്ന് പൂച്ച 

ഒന്നുമറിഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ടായിരിക്കില്ല, കാലിയായ വയറിലെ ആളിക്കത്തലുകളെ അടിച്ചമർത്താൻ മാത്രം 

ജീവനുള്ളവെക്കെല്ലാം വിശപ്പുണ്ടെന്നോർക്കെ 

കാലിവയറിനോട്‌ കാരുണ്യം കാണിക്കാം

 എൻ്റെ സത്യാന്വേഷണ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ - MK Gandhi 

അഹിംസകൊണ്ട് ലോകത്തിലെ വിപ്ലവ താളുകളിൽ തന്റേതായ ഇടം കണ്ടെത്തിയ മഹത് വ്യക്തിയാണ് മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി. ഇന്ത്യ എന്ന ഒരു വലിയ രാജ്യത്തിൻറെ സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യ സമരത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നൽകുകയും അവസാനം രാഷ്ട്രപിതാവായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതും അദ്ദേഹത്തെയാണ്. അതുകൊണ്ട് അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ജീവിതത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പഠിക്കേണ്ടത് നമുക്ക് അനിവാര്യമാണ്. ആ വഴിയിൽ ഇറങ്ങുന്നവർ ആദ്യം വായിക്കേണ്ട പുസ്തകമാണ് "എൻറെ സത്യാന്വേഷണ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങൾ" അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ജീവിതകാലം മുഴുവനും ഇതിലില്ല 1921 വരെയുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻറെ ജീവിതമാണ് ഇതിൽ വിവരിച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്.

ഇതിൽ എനിക്ക് ഏറ്റവും ഹൃദ്യമായി തോന്നിയത് തുടക്കത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം കുറിച്ചിടുന്ന വാക്കുകളാണ്, അദ്ദേഹം ഒരു സാധാരണ മനുഷ്യനായിരുന്നു പ്രവാചകനോ ദിവ്യനോ ആയിരുന്നില്ല എന്നുത്.

'ഗാന്ധി'യിൽ നിന്ന് 'മഹാത്മ'യിലേക്കുള്ള യാത്രയുടെ പ്രധാന ഭാഗമാണ് ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ അദ്ദേഹം കുറിച്ചിടുന്നത്, നാലാളുകൾ കൂടുന്നിടത്ത് സംസാരിക്കാൻ നാണിച്ചുനിന്ന ഗാന്ധി എന്ന കുട്ടി സൗത്ത് ആഫ്രിക്കയിൽ ജനങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയിൽ സാമൂഹ്യ പ്രവർത്തനത്തിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുകയും ചുരുങ്ങിയ കാലം കൊണ്ട് അവിടെയുള്ള ജനങ്ങളുടെ മനസ്സിലേക്ക് സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തിൻ്റെയും ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെയും തുല്യതയുടെയും ആശയം സാധാരണക്കാരുടെ ചിന്തകളിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കുകയും അവരുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട നേതാവായി ഗാന്ധി മാറുന്നതും ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് വന്ന് ഇന്ത്യ എന്താണ് എന്ന് പഠിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങുകയും അവസാനഭാഗത്ത് കോൺഗ്രസിന്റെ പരിപാടികളിൽ പങ്കെടുക്കുന്ന ഗാന്ധിയെയും നമുക്ക് ഈ പുസ്തകത്തിൽ കാണാം

വിദ്യാർത്ഥികൾക്ക്, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും സാധാരണ ചുറ്റുപാടിൽ വളർന്ന സമൂഹത്തിൽ വലിയ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ വേണമെന്ന് സ്വപ്നം കണ്ട് നടക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ഈ പുസ്തകം വലിയ ഒരു പാഠപുസ്തകം തന്നെയാണ്.

The program was inaugurated by the renowned writer and retired principal of Sreekrishnapuram Higher Secondary School, Sr. SudhakaranMurthiyedam. The function was presided over by Dr. Sarita Namboodiri (Principal). Dr. G S Aravind and Subha I N (NSS coordinators), Smt. Dhanya (Librarian), Smt.Mini K(Malayalam), Smt. Parvathy K P and Smt. Sruthi K P (Sanskrit), Smt. Vijayasree (Hindi),Sri.Kamal Raj Mohan (Commerce&Management Studies) and Dr. Sandeep Narayan (IQAC coordinator) spoke at the function. The competitions, which included events such as 'Book Review', 'Reading Aloud competition', spelling contests, Speech competition and poetry recitations, were conducted over a period of four days. Student participation in the programs was overwhelming. A valedictory function was held after all the completion of all the competitions and prizes were distributed to the winners.
